So the gap between my grill and the front bumper that runs from head light to head light has been an irritation to me ever since I bought the S14. I quickly notice that most kouki S14 have the same gap on their USDM bumper as well.
I removed the blue cooling panel and grill. I also loosen the head lights but there was really no need to actually remove and detach them completely. I just needed the extra room to work. I then proceeded to remove the 5 screws that connected the bumper to the retainer and bumper support.
I added 3 large bolts for each of the five screws acting as spacers that were equivalent to the height of the quarter. I then had to use longer screws. Tighten and re-installed all the front end parts and ABRA CADABRA done!
What do you think? Way better huh?
To give you a clear picture of just how much of a gap there is I used a quarter. Here are the before and after pictures of my bumper.
